Would you like to keep your spine supple and your mind active?

Then join for me 3 fabulous Fit Sit workouts.

Moving on a chair has never felt so good.

All too often we are told that sitting is bad for us but in fact using a chair can be a great place, if you know how, to keep your spine supple and strong.

You will learn the secret of all good movement which is how to use the spine foreffective weight transference. Make gravity your friend rather than your enemy.

When you can do this safely in a chair then you can do it away from the chair.

Useful for all of us

"Thank you so very much for your patience and devotion. As a bodyworker therapist in Texas, I resolve to recommend your channel and this series to more of my clients. I have used and believed in Feldenkrais since I was fortunate enough to take classes in the 80's in California. This workout (and all your others) are incredibly useful for ALL of us. Have a lovely Easter Holiday time with your family! God bless!" CMs Jean

Workout 1 All over

A strong and flexible spine can make all the difference between a full and independent life into our silver years or decades of increasing misery.

In Workout 1 (51 minutes) we explore the five key movements of the spine which Fit Sit fans know so well, and which are the ABCs of all good movement.

You will be amazed just how good you feel at the end of the class and the benefits will carry over into your ability to walk, balance and breathe.

Workout 2: Hips, feet, knees and hands

It's important as we age to maintain agility in our feet and hands. Supple feet, knees and hips help us to maintain balance and our hands are our window to the outside world. Workout 2 (53 minutes) contains a number of exercises incorporated as part of the class to maintain the dexterity and strength of our grip.

Be prepared to have the movements of your eyes and jaw explored too!

"Wonderful. Thank you for all your kindness. My big toe is becoming more flexible💕" Nthatu Allen

Workout 3: Integrating the arms

In Workout 3 (47 minutes) we focus on how to support the movement of the arms from the spine. As we all get older there is a tendency not to use our middles to move. When we move the arms without the support of our core then all sorts of issues can arise that eventually may lead to pain and discomfort in the shoulders, neck and back. Our arms begin with our spine and learning how to integrate this awareness into our functional daily movements plays a vital role in learning how to improve our lives.

More about me!

Hi, I am Stewart Hamblin. I am a UK based movement specialist, author of 'The Fit Sit Revolution' and Feldenkrais Practitioner. I am passionate about helping people to live the lives that they want to live through better movement. I realised that so many people would like to improve their movement but often don't know where to begin and that's why they start to fail as they age.

The secret of better movement is the ability to organise your movement through efficient weight transference using your skeleton and centre to support you rather than just muscles. The Fit Sit® programme is a fantastic way of learning how to do this. If you cannot move well in a chair you are not going to be able to move well in walking, standing or other more athletic activities such as running, cycling, golf or tennis. Please join me on this learning journey and you will be amazed at just how quickly you can progress and transform your own movement.
